S.T.O.R.M. Team

The Storm Team stands for “Special Team Of Role Models”

At Nokido Ju-Jitsu, we believe in being a responsible member of the community and helping others that are less fortunate and in need.  As part of our Nokido Ju-Jitsu Storm Team requirements, students must perform community service as part of our program.  Our goal is to not only support some of the local charities/organizations in our neighborhood, but to help our students develop a habit of community service that will hopefully last a lifetime!  This is what the Martial Arts are really all about! Like the great Samurai warriors, we want our students to “live by the code” and help set an example for others to follow.

Being a member of The Nokido Ju-Jitsu Storm Team is a prestigious position, which is offered to less than 10% of our student body. In an effort to be continually improving our standards we consistently look for candidates who we feel would benefit Nokido Ju-Jitsu and the students.  As a Storm Team member you are looked upon as a member of the instructional team and a role model.

Sensei Kaye’s favorite techniques are Nage Waza (throwing techniques). Since Sensei Kaye is small in size, her goal is to teach these techniques to women and children.  The annual Women’s Self defense class is one of Sensei Kaye’s passions and to be able to take someone down with little or no effort is amazing!

Sensei Kierstin DelValle is an 1st Degree Black belt (Shodan) in Nokido Jujitsu and Judo.  Sensei Kierstin is the daughter of Shihan Earl DelValle and Sensei Kaye.  Sensei Kierstin was born in Sarasota Florida 15 years ago and is a sophomore in high school. Sensei Kierstin has won several Jujitsu and Grappling competitions, as well as the 2009 USJJF Jujitsu Fighting Nationals, JA National Self Defense and BJJ State Championships.  Sensei Kierstin is an outgoing, funny, trustworthy person who loves to be around people and always cheers for the underdog.  It doesn’t matter who comes through the dojo doors, Sensei Kierstin has a smile on her face and will always make you feel at home.
